Mountain Music Folk concert - Anna and Elizabeth

True North Music presents Anna & Elizabeth (USA) Acclaimed American duo Anna & Elizabeth attracted high praise on their 2015 UK tour for excellent musicianship and harmony singing, and the unique charm of their live performance. Their self-titled album was also named runner-up in the FRoots Magazine Critics’ Poll. Anna & Elizabeth’s interpretation of traditional ballads from both sides of the Atlantic and their renditions of Appalachian tunes and songs showcase the purity of their two voices and classy instrumental playing on fiddle, guitar and clawhammer banjo. Their concerts also include storytelling, anecdotes and what they call “crankies” – beautifully made scrolling illustrations of papercuts and embroidered cloth. These interludes, often musically accompanied, make the duo’s performances even more magical. This is traditional music at its finest - not to be missed.

(Please note this is a True North Music event, and is not organised by Hepworth Live).
